It couldn't be simpler to transfer your domain to us. You can transfer in most extensions completely free of charge and, once the transfer process has started, we'll keep you informed every step of the way how it's progressing.
The transfer process is made up three simple steps:

Prepare your domain for transfer
To ensure that your transfer is successful, please make sure you have followed our guidelines below dependent on the domain extension you are transferring in:-
UK domain names
Simply ask your current registration provide to change the IPS tag to ENOM (uppercase) and then begin the transfer process with us. Note that it can take a couple of days for this change to take effect. -
gTLD domain names
A gTLD domain is a .com, .net, .org, .info or .biz domain and there a couple of steps to complete before transferring to us:- Make sure that admin contact email address is active and you have access to it as we'll be sending a confirmation request email to this address.
- Ask your current domain provider to unlock your domain name
- Find out your domain's authorisation code (Transfer or EPP code) from your current provider as you will need this when transferring to us.
- Please note that the domain name must have been registered for at least 60 days and is not due for renewal with the next 40 days

What else do I need to know?
As we mentioned earlier, your website (if you have one) and email will not become unavailable at any time during the transfer process and you will remain the registrant or owner of the domain. We don't make any changes to the registration details
Your existing provider may make a charge for releasing the domain so always check with them first. As these release fees are often unfair due to the lack of work required to release a domain, we do not charge to release domains under our control.
Once the transfer has started it can take up to five days to transfer your domain over but don't worry, we'll let you know the moment it's in your account.
